Where Da Prawn At?

Prawn season, duck season, rabbit season. Well, we don’t really talk like that because as soon as we label something with a title we begin to close the mind.

Prawn season? Well yea, there’s a time they can be thick but they don’t just vanish off the face of the earth for nine months then return randomly.

Prawns can make up a large percentage of a barramundi’s diet and if we’re not fishing with prawn imitations there’s a big % of opportunities that go begging.

Countless barra are caught on straight wound prawns dragged along the bottom……….WHAMMO!

SWIM PRAWN

GULP SHRIMP

Stealth methods can work incredibly well on shy fish and the low vibe, unobtrusive nature of the slow rolled prawn could just produce the 1200 you’re looking for.

Gulp jerk shads, Gulp nemesis slow rolled along the bottom will produce great fish also.

If you’re forgetting the prawn lure, bring it back into your game.  There’s a lot of prawn in coastal areas at present, flood waters speed their growth.

I’ll be tying a prawn on next trip…….dirty big king will grap them also.

Try it, that slow boring style may surprise you!!
